Text Analysis
What is document analyzer and why you need it?
Writer Journal provides two types of document analyzing components, namely static analyzer and real-time analyzers. Both are designed to provide useful insights regarding the quality and quantity of your works.
Static analyzer
Static analyze means analyzing static content, that's not changing over time. It shows you many useful information regarding your document, ranging from letter, word, sentence and paragraph counts to unique words count, document size, and reading or writing time spending. It also provides you with words frequency charts, helping you analyze your text in terms of word appearance frequency and lexical richness levels. All in all, it's a text analyzing workstation that really works.
Real-time analyzers
Real-time analyzers are powerful editor widgets designed to analyze your document in real-time as you write on the go. It shows you insightful data regarding the quality and quantity of your text. Analyzing your text in terms of letter, word, sentence and paragraph. Helping you improve your writing skills. Evaluating your text in real-time and give insights regarding lexical richness and uniqueness of your text.
How to use static analyze function?
You can use the text static analyze function in two ways, one is to directly share some text to Writer Journal, the other is through the Analyze button in the Document Options Menu.
Please follow the following steps to analyze your static text. (See the screenshots)
Note that the text analysis page contains three tabs, namely statistics, frequency and extractor, each with specific information and functions.
How to use real-time analyzers?
The real-time text analyzers are extremely powerful and easy to use editor widgets that you can toggle on and off anytime you want. It's present in the editor page and you can activate the ones that you really need to help you track and analyze your current editing document live in real-time. Please follow the steps below to activate.
Real-time analysers (RTA)
At the time of writing this documentation, Writer Journal is the only app to provide this fantastic real-time text analyzing feature on the Android market. RTA is a dynamic feature designed especially for writers to help evaluate their text work in a variety of text analysis aspects. In terms of category, real-time analyzers (RTA) can be divided into three big categories. Namely Counter , Density calculator and Custom analyzer. Please check the following list.

We believe most of the counters need no explanation because their name is self explaining. Followings are explanation for others:
Unique words : if any exactly same word appeared more than one time in your document, it will be counted as one.
Unique words percentage: the ratio of unique words divided by total words
Lexical density: the ratio of lexical words divided by total words
Lexical diversity: the ratio of unique lexical words divided by total words
A well written English text usually has 56% or above lexical density than spoken text
You can toggle on or off any of these real-time analyzers by following the steps below. (See the screenshot)
Click more options in the editor page
Click RTA to open real-time analyser page
Toggle the check box widget to enable or disable specific real-time analyzer
Click the ✓ mark on top bar to save the changes
The analyzers will appear on the top section in the editor page
