Cloud sync feature is one of the most requested feature from our users, it's already in our development plan, hopefully it will be available very soon, stay tuned !!!
WriterJournal has two types of backup mechanisms: manual backups and automatic backups. Both are local backup systems. In manual backup, a user needs to select where to save the backup file. In auto-backup, the user doesn't need to select where to save the backup file every time. The user only needs to set up an auto-backup configuration once, and WriterJournal will automatically backup users' data periodically.
The first thing you should do is make a manual backup immediately, and then you should troubleshoot the issue. If you see the "Cannot load the document" message when trying to open it, it's probably because the document was too big to be saved in a short period of time. It may take a while to be saved successfully; you should try to open it again after a short time (repeat 3–4 times). If you still see the "Cannot load the document" message, it's probably because the document is mal-formatted. You can try to use the version history system to restore it to its previous state, or you can try to recover it by using the Dev tools. For more information, please see Troubleshoot a corrupted document page.
